Teriann Schmidt

Throughout her career, Teriann has dedicated herself to protecting the rights of individuals, ensuring they receive the benefits and compensation they deserve under Michigan law. She has represented clients in a wide range of matters, including personal injury, landlord-tenant disputes, bankruptcy, consumer protection claims, and provider subrogation claims. In January 2025, she joined Koussan Law, where she now leads the Pre-Litigation Team. In this role, she provides clients with knowledgeable and personalized guidance, assisting them from the initial filing of an insurance claim through to settlement or litigation when necessary.

Beyond her legal career, Teriann is actively involved in her community. She volunteers with the Michigan Humane Society and enjoys practicing yoga. In her free time, she can often be found boating on Lake St. Clair in the summer or exploring Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in the winter through snowshoeing and snowmobiling.
